Golden Athletes at OMEGA House Paris

Paris 2024 will be remembered for its iconic venues and incredible performances. OMEGA’s sporting ambassadors were at the heart of the action, and following their moments in the spotlight, many of the gold medallists arrived at OMEGA House for a special visit.

Léon Marchand of France, who won four gold medals and one bronze in swimming, while also setting four new Olympic Records. These included the 400m Individual Medley and the 200m Individual Medley, as well as the 200m Butterfly and 200m Breaststroke, which he won on the same night.

Mondo Duplantis of Sweden, who won the gold medal in the Men’s Pole Vault and set a new World Record of 6.25m. An incredible moment and the second gold medal of his Olympic Games career.

Noah Lyles of the USA, who won the Men’s 100m final in a dramatic finish. OMEGA’s photofinish camera was required to confirm the result and proved that Noah was just ahead. It was the first gold medal of his Olympic Games career.

Ma Long of China, who won the gold medal in Table Tennis team event, and claimed the 6th gold medal on the journey to his fourth Olympic Games,  reaffirming his status as one of the greatest Table Tennis players of all time.

Gabby Thomas of the USA, who won the Women’s 200m event, claiming her first ever gold medal at the Olympic Games. Yaroslava Mahuchikh of Ukraine, who won the Women’s High Jump, her first ever gold medal at the Olympic Games. Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain, who won the Women’s 800m event, securing her first ever gold medal at the Olympic Games, and adding to the silver she won at Tokyo 2020.

Gabby Thomas of the USA, who won the Women’s 200m event, claiming her first ever gold medal at the Olympic Games. Yaroslava Mahuchikh of Ukraine, who won the Women’s High Jump, her first ever gold medal at the Olympic Games. Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain, who won the Women’s 800m event, securing her first ever gold medal at the Olympic Games, and adding to the silver she won at Tokyo 2020.

Kaylee McKeown of Australia, who claimed double backstroke gold by winning the Women’s 100m and 200m Backstroke events. In each one, she claimed a new Olympic record.  Thomas Ceccon of Italy, who won the Men’s 100m Backstroke event in swimming – the first gold of his Olympic career. David Popovici of Romania, who won the Men’s 200m Freestyle event in swimming – his first ever medal at an Olympic Games. 

Florian Trittel and Diego Botin of Spain, who won the gold medal in the Men’s Skiff event in sailing. Their races were held in the waters of Marseille, rather than Paris, but they still returned to the capital city to celebrate their first every Olympic Games victory.

Romane Dicko of France, who won gold and bronze medals in Judo. Hifumi Abe of Japan, who won the Men’s -66kg Judo gold medal – the same event he won at Tokyo 2020.
