Since 1952, the OMEGA Constellation has been inspired by the precise movement of the stars. For this special model, that stellar theme is taken one step further with the introduction of a captivating meteorite dial.

The 41 mm watch is presented with a case and mono-rang bracelet created from stainless steel, with signature Constellation features including the polished claws, half-moon facets, and Liquidmetal™ Roman numerals on a green ceramic bezel.

The astonishing dial is formed from a genuine piece of iron meteorite, which has been given a green colour treatment. The natural pattern within the meteorite is unique to each model, meaning that no two dials are ever the same. It is completed with a date window at 6H, along with hands, indexes, and a Constellation star in 18K white gold.

Behind the sapphire crystal on the caseback, this impressive watch is driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8900, guaranteeing the highest standards of precision, performance and magnetic resistance, as certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

Composed of titanium, zirconium and copper, this amorphous alloy is three times as hard as stainless steel. When bonded with ceramic parts, Liquidmetal^TM can be offered in contrasting finishes (brushed or polished), thanks to the difference in hardness between the two materials.

To really appreciate the finer details of a timepiece, OMEGA uses synthetic sapphire crystal with a highly scratch-resistant and anti-reflective treatment. Before the machining and finishing processes take place, the sapphire crystals are produced under the Verneuil process, also called flame fusion. It involves the melting of the raw substance using oxyhydrogen flame and the crystallisation of the melted droplets to form a cylinder. Graded 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10), the resulting sapphire crystals are virtually scratch-proof and very hard, ensuring an unhindered vision at all times.

Twice as precise as any officially certified chronometer

Our Master Chronometer watches are tested and certified twice. First, the movement is Chronometer-certified according to international standard ISO3159, requiring a precision of -4/+6 second per day, following the tests at the Official Swiss Chronometer Control (COSC). Then, the watch head and its movement undergo eight Master Chronometer tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS) with criteria of 0/+5 seconds per day.

Less servicing

Expect fewer visits to the service centre. The Co-Axial escapement is designed to reduce friction inside the movement. As a result, less lubrication is needed and hence less servicing. Compared to non-Co-Axial watches, the intervals between getting your watch serviced will be much longer.

Shock-resistance

During the homologation process, OMEGA watches are tested to the extreme. This phase includes shock examinations, to confirm reliability and to check that its precision is maintained after a severe impact. All OMEGA timepieces are designed to withstand shocks corresponding to a 1-metre drop on a hard wooden floor. For a standard 150g timepiece, this sudden and rapid acceleration is an equivalent force of up to 5,000 G on the watch head.
