More than 10,000 athletes are expected to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris, each hoping to claim one of the coveted medals on offer. The margins between gold, silver and bronze often come down to split-seconds, requiring the most advanced technology and expertise to separate the difference. Thankfully, this is OMEGA’s 31st occasion in the Official Timekeeper role, assuring precision and reliability when it matters most.

OMEGA has been recording the Paralympic Games since 1992. This year, Paris will bring around 4,400 athletes together to compete in 22 sports – all contested in front of an expected 3.4 million spectators. Each event has its own specific requirements and category challenges. Therefore, OMEGA will use the exact same equipment as the Olympic Games, along with some unique additions to suit this inspiring occasion.

RECORDING DREAMS

  • Noah Lyles

    Currently the World Champion in the 100m and 200m sprint events, Noah Lyles is hoping to claim his first gold medals at the greatest show in sport and establish his place at the top of the podium. 

  • Bebe Vio

    On the journey to her third Paralympic Games, the wheelchair fencer Bebe Vio is focusing on gold. The Italian athlete is the reigning champion in the Foil B category, and arrives with multiple European and World titles to her name.
  • Ma Long

    The Chinese athlete, Ma Long, is the reigning Olympic champion in both the Singles and Team events in table tennis, and has held the number 1 ranking for the longest duration in history. Paris 2024 is Ma’s chance to extend his impressive legacy of five gold medals.
