Find another watchA sublime expression of the art of watchmaking, each OMEGA De Ville Tourbillon is a unique, hand-crafted timepiece that blends stunning beauty with ground-breaking innovation.
These timepieces feature OMEGA’s exclusive Central Tourbillon movement, set in a tourbillon cage protecting it from the effects of gravity. This Limited Edition series of 18 pieces features gold-fashioned indexes and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal dial that offers a captivating view into the skeletonised working mechanics within the timepiece.
The 18K gold seconds hand is fixed directly on the titanium tourbillon cage. The 38.7 mm 950 platinum case is presented on a black leather strap. Powering this watchmaking wonder is the Co-Axial calibre 2636.
Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
A series of watches whose production run is determined in advance of production and limited to a set number.
An ingenious principle which solves the tricky problem of adjusting mechanical watches. All the components of the escapement (escape wheel, pallets wheel, pallets fork and balance spring) are grouped together in a small mobile cage which makes one rotation per minute. This eradicates any differences in rate due to different positions of the watch and thus guarantees optimal precision for a mechanical watch.
A transparent caseback - frequently made of sapphire - makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
This measures the space where a strap or bracelet would be placed.
This is the full length of the case, from the top lugs to the bottom lugs.
This is the full width of the watch’s case, excluding the crown and pushers.
When viewed from the side, this measures from the base of the watch to the surface of the glass.

Platinum stands out in the luxury world for its rarity, enduring silvery whiteness and brilliant shine. It is also highly unreactive and has a remarkable resistance to corrosion. The rarity of the material is often associated with exclusivity and wealth, which is why OMEGA uses 950 platinum for exceptional models of prestige. These watches offer wearers a distinctive look and a unique feel unlike any other metal.

To really appreciate the finer details of a timepiece, OMEGA uses synthetic sapphire crystal with a highly scratch-resistant and anti-reflective treatment. Before the machining and finishing processes take place, the sapphire crystals are produced under the Verneuil process, also called flame fusion. It involves the melting of the raw substance using oxyhydrogen flame and the crystallisation of the melted droplets to form a cylinder. Graded 9 on the Mohs-hardness scale (graded 1-10), the resulting sapphire crystals are virtually scratch-proof and very hard, ensuring an unhindered vision at all times.
