Its watchmaking design today combines a classic and distinctive look with a multifunction quartz movement, which controls the many functions including UTC plus two time zones, an alarm and a perpetual calendar. There is also a chronograph function and a countdown timer.

Adding to the allure of this Swiss watch is its grade 5 titanium case, attached to a metal bracelet, rubber strap or leather strap. The inner caseback ensures superb water‑resistance, while the outer one acts as a resonance chamber to amplify the sound of the alarm. It also features a brightly polished Seahorse, OMEGA logo and ‘Speedmaster’ inscriptions against a matte background.

Complementing the analogue dial, the digital features can be controlled by the crown and by four pushers. On the black LCD screen, the red segments are illuminated by the LED backlight which adapts automatically to ambient luminosity.
